Work closely with the City Manager in the planning and administration of City Council planned initiatives. Support the City Manager by working directly with the Leadership Team to program projects and deliver services. Serve as the City’s law enforcement liaison managing communication between the City and the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office and providing contract oversight for public safety services, in addition to providing administrative and programmatic oversight to Economic Development, Community Development and Public Works. Experienced in oversight of Human Resources, Department of Strategic Initiatives, Office of Technology and Innovation, Municipal Court, and City Clerk’s Office.

Position held during the recruitment and placement of the City Manager. Appointed by City Council to work closely with the elected body on various projects, priorities, initiatives, and constituent concerns/requests in coordination with City departments and regional partners. Responsible for overall administration and management of City departments’ staff and contracts. Managed and coordinated executive team staff to ensure implementation of City Council goals and objectives in addition to overseeing the day-to-day operations.

Managed the staff, resources, and programming of Administrative Services, including the functions of Information Technology, Human Resources, Municipal Court, City Clerk’s Office and the City Manager’s Office. Responsible for the City’s budget coordination and management including developing and facilitating City Council Strategic Planning and Budget Workshops and integrating the priorities and direction of City Council into the final adopted budget. Coordinated with department directors to develop short and long-term objectives aligned with Council priorities.

Performed a wide variety of advanced professional, administrative, community relations and special project duties in the City Manager’s Office. Assigned activities with other staff, outside agencies and the general public and provided highly technical assistance to the City Manager. Managed City Manager’s Office staff, information technology division and budget programming and process.

Member of the Executive Team focused on budget, policy, and citizen and intergovernmental issues. Directed and participated in information gathering, statistical analysis, study of special administrative problems and development of improved systems.

Provided technical support for the Department of Finance, Public Improvement Fee Collection Section. Responsible for administering the PIF collection program, development and implementation of business outreach programs, collection and reporting.

Interpreted and applied the City’s sales and use tax Ordinances and regulations. Responsible for the enforcement and education of City tax laws. Investigated and licensed entities doing business in the City.
