I demonstrated a strong desire to inspire others to learn and engage in building up the community as a campus minister with City Church. I collaborated to create curricula for cultural engagement, missional outreach, and serving the less fortunate with leaders across the southeast. I led overseas trips to south Asia and domestic trips to Portland, Indianapolis, and Atlanta helping students and churches build relationships and long-term partnerships. Part of leading these trips was training students to fundraise over $90,000. Many of the students I've trained have gone on to successful careers as physician's assistants, teachers, entrepreneurs, ministers, salesmen, and interior designers.I sought to inspire students to be lifelong learners through open table discussions at my home every week during the school for 4 years. As campus director, I led a staff team of five people, performed fundraising, and oversaw leadership of the entire organization.The organization grew from having no students to regularly hosting weekly meetings with over 100 students. The leadership of the organization now is entirely made up of MTSU students. My love for learning is directly tied to learning Spanish in high school and college. This internship turned into an amazing year of opportunities working with Latinx families in my hometown.I translated for Spanish speakers at important appointments with lawyers, doctors, and business owners. I worked with Latinx children tutoring ESL students and I created a summer camp for elementary students to learn basic Spanish and engage with the culture.
