Manage a team of 10 dedicated, service-minded individuals during their term of service with AmeriCorps VISTA. Provide training, support, mentorship and connect members to resources in the community. Encourage their own personal development while creating change in the community through serving at local nonprofit organizations.In addition to managing the AmeriCorps VISTA program, I also manage the 60+ volunteer projects that we offer volunteers each month. I provide training to volunteer leaders and nonprofit partners in the areas of Volunteer Management and Project Management/Project Leadership. Building relationships with volunteers and nonprofit organizations is what I love to do, and it's a large component of my job. Where there is a need for volunteers, it is my role to create an opportunity for people to fill that need.
