My experience in high school studying marine science for two and a half years included, field research in relation to coral bleaching, climate change, marine life conservation and anthropogenic influences on the marine environment. Lab research was also conducted in specifically, the study of brine shrimp and the viability of their survival rate when forced under extreme temperatures. These experiences have inspired my journey to scuba diving and studying marine life closely to research what factors disrupt the viability of life in the marine world and what we can do to conserve the world's largest ecosystem. I want to continue to learn all the skills needed to be able to continue research in this field and carry out conservation.Skills that are able to assist me in carrying out these tasks were obtained in 1044SCG-Statistics course at Griffith University. This course provided me with the ability to conduct hypothesis testing and performing analyses using statistical software, and to interpret the analysis. This provides me with appropriate career building skills for the science industry.
