As an invigilator for these exams, I admitted and confirmed candidates on exam day, officially explained and administered the code of conduct, as well as observed candidates during the exam. As an interlocutor, I played the role of a patient/family member/owner in a performed role-play for the speaking section of the exam.

I worked as a consultant for RMIT University to create unique, tailored, conversation-focused language workshops for international students. This involved interpreting insights from design-research in order to improve student experience at the university. My role required working with university staff to plan workshops, observing current workshops, designing and creating class materials based on the research findings and the input from the Student Experience team, and delivering the workshop pilot to RMIT students.

I invigilated exams at The University of Melbourne. This involved working in a close-knit team, following strict protocols, and dealing with conflict, such as instances of misconduct, or medical emergencies.

Coaching adult international students for Pearson Test of English (PTE) and International English Language Testing System (IELTS).

I wrote the weekly blog post for the school providing information and tips for students. This involved research, writing the content, as well as learning and implementing SEO strategies.

As part of an exchange between the Australian and Spanish governments, I worked as an assistant teacher in Zaragoza, Spain. I designed and ran activities based on the English language and Australian culture to students aged 5 to 16 years old. I also assisted local teachers in the delivery of their regular classes such as Science, P.E., and Art.

As the main receptionist, I was the first point of contact for all students. I managed enrolments and sales, found appropriate courses for students according to their level and experience, prepared classrooms, entered data and prepared materials. I was the liaison between students, teachers and the school directors. I also learned and utilised two different databases, and sourced materials and wrote copy for the school’s website and newsletter.
