Provide support to the advocate team who is responsible for engaging child sex trafficking survivors in the individualized, collaborative process of identifying, planning, accessing, and coordinating resources, support and services for their emotional and social recovery.This role supports the advocate team specifically while they are in the crisis response period when law enforcement recovers youth, connecting and referring the survivor with trauma informed services including, but not limited to: residential/drug/alcohol/mental health treatment, counseling and therapy services, support groups, 12-step programs, legal services, family counseling, transitional housing, job skills training, crime victims’ compensation applications, education, and medical services, etc. This role is in constant collaboration with multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) in multiple counties across the DFW metroplex and the state of Texas. MDTs include the Office of the Governor Child Sex Trafficking Team, local, state, federal (Homeland Security, FBI) law enforcement, Department of Family Protective Services, Child Advocacy Centers, Medical professionals, CASA, juvenile justice, district and state attorney's offices to name a few.
