1972 Lived in Israel & worked on Kibbutz. Was conversational in Hebrew which i have now totally forgotten.1973 Backpacked through Europe and Eastern Europe including East Berlin, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Austria, France, Italy and Germany.1973 Returned to U.S. and worked at a small airport, took flying lessons and began studying prerequisites for Nursing School at night.Completed 9 month EMT program and was asked back to work as an instructor.Worked my way through nursing school working as an EMT instructor with clinical rotations at DRH, Children's and Hutzel Hospitals.1980 Graduated from nursing school and began working as a Registered Nurse at Detroit Receiving Hospital in the Emergency Room.Became ACLS certified.After 10 years in Emergency Nursing - took a job in Utilization Review and Quality Assurance.Obtained certification in ABQAURP - kept current.After experiencing first hand the failure of the medical system to provide any degree of quality assurance - decided to go to law school.Worked my way through University Of Detroit law school by working as a nurse consultant on medical malpractice cases.In law school wrote a paper on the failure of medical malpractice caps for non-economic damages, to have any effect on physician malpractice insurance costs.In law school worked two semesters in Urban Clinic - representing defendants charged with misdemeanors.In law school did a summer clinical rotation at the Attorney Discipline Board.1994 Graduated from University of Detroit Law School cum laude and passed the bar exam.1994 Combined medical malpractice work with two years of court appointed probate work including NGRI hearings and Guardian Ad Litem review hearings.1994 Began working with Cyril Weiner at Wiener and Associates (different firm name at that time) on medical malpractice lawsuits, continuing to this day.
