Elissa Fisher Harris is a consummate champion for the underdog and the greater good of humanity. Her personal life story is one of insurmountable adversity and a choice to channel those challenges into vehicles for good, leading to her resilience and a deep desire to live in the world intentionally with purpose, ON purpose. This adversity shaped Elissa's 26 year varied career path in marketing, branding, communications, biz dev and sales to always include a social impact and well-being angle for external and internal brand stakeholders, and eventually landed her where she squarely belongs in impact strategy consulting. As a current silent partner and former Chief Impact Officer in previous consulting firm called 5th Element Group, Elissa and her partners led and supported initiatives for NGO and brand clients and organized events alongside organizations like United Nations, Skoll World Forum, and Nobel Peace Prize Forum. Her varied talents and skill-sets have supported and amplified impact both as a consultant and working inside brands, and have fueled various resources toward her personal passions for the environment, well-being, homelessness, mental health, social justice and DE&I. Elissa's prolific personal and professional life experience and vast impact networks inspired her to launch her podcast called A World On Purpose in 2020 as a medium to tell the stories of purpose driven heroes, and later became her own impact consulting and media company of the same name. She recently became host and producer of a new leadership “How To” series called Impact All Stars powered by her client Countable.com; the tech platform that turns communities into powerful engines that drive social impact. Elissa has been deeply involved professionally and personally in several organizations like National Women's History Museum, Opportunity Collaboration, 100% Human at Work, a Virgin Unite/Richard Branson NGO, Community Healing Gardens, Women Connect 4 Good, and 1% for the Planet where she was the impetus for her family winery to become one of the first 10 member brands to join 20 years ago. State Bureau Of Naturopathic MedicineState Of California Jan 2004 - May 2004Elissa’s most proud accomplishment was playing an instrumental role in the support to the passage of California bill SB907, which granted Naturopathic Doctors licensure in the state of California, as well as being instrumental to saving the Ca. State Bureau of Naturopathic Medicine from being cut from the state budget. Her efforts lead to an esteemed appointment as public member to the bureau by Governor Schwarzenegger in 2004 and the honorable unanimous election as Chair of the bureau by her Naturopathic and Medical doctor peers. Elissa did not get to serve the full term due to loosing her second husband shortly after being elected but she was most proud to have been a part of such a monumental endeavor for Naturopathic Medicine in the state of California and to have been recognized for the role she played.
