I began my career as a staff Physical therapist in a hospital where I treated patients with orthopedic , neurological , surgical diagnosis both inpatient and outpatient. My experiences in subacute rehab as director include ensuring that our residents receive excellent clinical care , management of a staff of physical , occupational and speech therapists ,productivity , time management , quality measures , state surveys , audits , CMI , MDS , quality Indicators , medicare audits , performance indicators , corporate compliance ,implementation of rehab compliant EMR /EHR software to facilitate and streamline the workflow and day to day operations of a successful rehab dept.,inservice education , communication with families , preparation of residents for safe discharge to the community . professional development , clinical leadership , payroll .
