From January 2020 I join DCU as an Associate Professor in Elite Performance in the School of Health and Human Performance. I am excited about some really interesting projects and creating opportunities for coaches and other practitioners to study, learn and collaborate. I'm also looking forward to further developing my research portfolio and exploring research in womens sport, talent development and coaching.During my time at the Institute for Coaching and Performance at Uclan I was the course Leader for the Professional Doctorate / Professional Masters in Elite Performance. The Professional Doctorate in Elite Performance (D.Prof) is an exciting and original initiative, capable of providing a high level, vocationally focused award to a broad range of professionals, including, but not limited to, coaches (in sport and business), scientists in support roles, medical/paramedical practitioners, military and other structured service providers, and all those involved in the performing arts. Offering an equivalent to PhD level, the D.Prof provides an opportunity for those working in elite performance to complete a programme of study focused on individual needs.I also provide Sport Psychology, Coaching and Talent Development Consultancy through my role at @greymattersuk. As practical academics (Pracademics), we research, coach and even still ‘do’ performance in a variety of domains, giving us unique skills and adaptable expertise to help YOU overcome your challengesworking with a variety of organisations and individuals to optimise performance and development.Clients include:► Football Association► GAA ► Ireland Golf► Leinster Golf► Leinster GAA► Rugby► Schools, clubs and NGBs
