The Innovation Advisory Board provides independent advice and support to Minister Dawson and the broader Innovation team at the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovaiton, on the implementation of the WA Government’s 10-year Innovation Strategy, launched in 2022, through a 2-year term. The Board provides feedback on the effectiveness of the plan's programs and initiatives and advice on what metrics should be used to measure the State's progress against the strategy's actions and goals.

As Local Content Adviser for the Pilbara region of Western Australia, my role aims to maximise contract prospects for the Pilbara's businesses to supply to the State Government market. As such, I am responsible for the promotion and development of local opportunities as supported by the State Governments WA Jobs Act.In addition to the above, a deliberate focus will be placed on working in conjunction with private industry, including mining and resources, to significantly increase contract award to Pilbara based businesses.I am equally responsible for assessing and developing strategy to improve the capacity of the Pilbara's local businesses, ultimately resulting in a more competitive and skilled commercial community.

As National Business Development Manager my role is primarily to expand Buslink VIVO's service offering beyond the Northern Territory by establishing a solid and permanent service model in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. I am required to work together with government organisations regarding the management of school bus and public transport services as well as major companies within the mining and resources sector, regional shires and city councils.Equally, I am responsible for identifying and positioning Buslink VIVO for success with transportation opportunities across Australia. Buslink VIVO currently run the personnel transport logistics on the Ichthys project in Darwin. By supplying just under 200 wet-hire Mercedes coaches and project managing all personnel transport requirements including bus stop management, road management and comprehensive maintenance programs, we are the exclusive transportation provider on one of the southern hemispheres biggest construction projects. Buslink VIVO is a joint venture between two experienced logistics partners - Transdev, one of the world's leading private and public multi-model transport companies and Buslink, an Australian owned national public and private bus company with over 20 years' experience running bus services in remote areas. with the strength and expertise of two best-in-class transport providers behind us we provide Australian transport logistics solutions to an international standard.

The Business Centre Pilbara's service is free, independent, confidential and available to anyone planning to go into business, or indeed those who are already in one.Through expert business support and advice, along with various workshops and networking events annually, the Business Centre Pilbara has a real impact on the local business landscape in the Pilbara and contributes heavily to the development and sustainability of local business initiatives.

An expansion on my previous role at Raw Hire, I am now responsible for the development of new business and maintenance of existing relationships throughout the entire Pilbara region.Working closely with contractors involved in the Pilbara's major mine and industry sites, I am able to secure ongoing contracted supply of hire fleet.The role requires a strong understanding of existing and upcoming projects, and the ability to follow the business development process from initial contact and tender through various levels of strong negotiation, sign-off, implementation and ongoing overall account management.Answerable to the CEO I am accountable for maintaining our high level of customer satisfaction and client retention, fleet utilisation, revenue and a supply pipeline 12 months in advance.

Primarily responsible for developing market share growth in the Karratha and Onslow region of the Pilbara and maintaining relationships with existing, tier one corporate clients. Sound industry knowledge in oil & gas, mining and various vehicle types, an understanding of day-to-day market developments, the ability to strategically assess market opportunities and a high level of experience in B2B contract agreements lead to strong success in the role.

In this position I was primarily responsible for managing the sales office and two fully operational workshops (one detailing and minor repairs, the other a mechanical workshop) and their respective teams. My key responsibilities were to manage the utilisation of upwards of 600 vehicles (and the associated revenue), a team of roughly 20 personnel, profit/loss statements for the branch and the standards of our product & service to deliver a knowledgeable and professional service to our clients.
