Research, outreach and communication in preparation for shoots in various locations across the world, as well as pitch themes and ideas with an attention to formal and information science communication.

Facilitated hands-on, inquiry based learning for elementary and middle-school aged students onsite in the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens. Developed a curriculum that included grade-level appropriate lessons on botany, conservation, storytelling, and climate change.

Supports the work done for the National Science Foundation funded Youth Lead the Way grant project. Duties include participation in the visioning, hiring, and management of a Youth Advisory Research Board in the museum, as well as aiding in the research and evaluation aspects of the grantwork.

As a teacher with the science outreach program at Reed College, I worked within a team of four to prep and execute a weekly lesson in a 5th grade classroom of a Portland public school. Using a collaboratively developed curriculum, we sought to underscore the crisis of climate change through group lab work in line with the district’s learning standards.

As a camp counselor at an all girls residential camp, I was responsible for a cabin of 8 children for the duration of the four-week session. The responsibilities of such a job included full time care and attention in support of their wellbeing, activity planning, conflict mediation, emotional and physical support, and frequent conferencing. Additionally, counselors are required to fill out daily reports on their campers and cabin dynamics, as well maintain frequent communication with their superiors.

As a member of the Climate Museum’s Youth Advisory Council, I attend frequent meetings with the Museum’s director and additional administrative staff, plan Museum programming, lead workshops throughout the city, and assist with Museum outreach. Additionally, members of the YAC represent the Climate Museum at formal meetings and exhibitions throughout New York.

As the leader of the New York City High School Green New Deal Campaign, I worked alongside fellow high school students, the greater Sunrise Movement, and New York City elected officials to introduce a regional Green New Deal Campaign Resolution in City Council, supporting the federal legislation of the same name.

As an intern at the offices of International IDEA at the United Nations in New York City, I catalogued office publications, digitized the total of paper archives stored within the office, and assisted in the reorganization of files and mailings. The completion of such tasks provided me with an exposure to office documents cataloguing the international pursuit for electoral justice through the means of peaceful diplomacy. In addition to administrative tasks, I provided assistance at conferences hosted by International IDEA at the United Nations, engaged with esteemed delegates and the material they presented, and recorded information pertinent to the work of IDEA.
