Elizabeth A. Coco, Lighting DesignerMs. Coco is the Lighting Director for The Washington Ballet, as well as a freelance Lighting Designer. Before joining TWB, Elizabeth was with Atmosphere Lighting for 10yrs as a Senior Designer, where she created 150-200 unique experiences each year across all mediums of lighting for architecture, dance, live music, theater, television, and live event production. During this time she had the opportunity to work in every current Smithsonian in the DC area creating engaging environments for a variety of internal and external events, including gallery openings and the first social event ever held at a Smithsonian. Her work has also been seen in most major venues in the DC metro area. She has had the pleasure of working with Google, Microsoft, NATO, Concordia, National Geographic, CBS, ABC, NBC, PBS, and numerous arts organizations. During this time, Ms. Coco was the exclusive Lighting Designer at the Washington National Cathedral, where she has the pleasure of creating artscapes and experiential environments inside and outside throughout the year. Prior to her work with Atmosphere, Elizabeth was an Assistant Lighting Director at CNN DC. She has worked throughout the country in various design capacities at Shakespeare Theatre in DC, Glimmerglass Opera, New York City Ballet, The Joyce, the Kennedy Center, and in collaboration with Dance and Theatre companies throughout the US.
