“Students are more than a test score, one person’s opinion and words on a page. All students are complex puzzles. With sharp edges of multiple intelligences, patterns of experience, curves of culture and many colors of resiliency, the puzzle picture is complex. When a puzzle piece is misshapen, the puzzle picture becomes distorted. It is the special education teacher who helps to reform the misshapen piece to make the true puzzle picture come into focus.” -EW
