Her previous books include, "When Health Care Hurts: Ten common assumptions that can derail your care and how to get back on track," "Not Your Grandmother's Nursing Home: Demystifying Today's Retirement Living Options," and "Killer Cure: Why Health Care Is the Second Leading Cause of Death in America and How To Ensure That It's Not Yours."Elizabeth founded Pario Health Institute in 2008. Her work has focused on catalyzing change so that health care in the U.S. becomes more individual-centric and its goal becomes "to enable people to lead the lives they want."A 20-year (1988-2008) veteran of health care icon Johnson & Johnson, Elizabeth won awards for her unique and actionable strategic insights about the rapidly changing, volatile health care environment. Her first health care work, Solving America’s Health Care Problems (1996), predicted many trends nearly a decade before they started to make headlines.
