I have a diverse and extensive background in various leadership and research roles. I recently concluded my position as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Center for Public Service at Portland State University since April 2023, and I previously held a Research Intern position at Sponsored Projects Administration at PSU from January to June 2023.Prior to attending graduate school, I engaged in concurrent internships at the Oregon Legislature for Representative Maxine Dexter and the Oregon Student Association from June to September 2022. My involvement in student affairs includes roles such as Senate President for the Associated Students of WOU from June 2021 to May 2022 and serving as a Student Advisor for Regional Leaders of Open Education since October 2021.I have been consistently employed either full-time or part-time since 11th grade. My most notable awards include being nominated two years in a row for the Portland State University Presidential Award for Service to the Community, the Black Excellence Award at Portland State University, the John Lewis Youth Leadership Award from the National Association of Secretaries of State, and the Maurice Challenge Prize at Western Oregon University. Additional notable awards and recognition are my nomination for Advocate-of-the-Year by LGBTQ+ SafeZone at WOU and receiving the Klush Tum Tum ("Person with a Heart for Others") Award at WOU. My comprehensive involvement and recognition highlight my dedication to leadership, service, and advocacy throughout my continuous academic and professional journey.
