As an Environmental Science student at the University of Alabama, I have developed a strong expertise in water-related issues, such as quality, conservation, and management. I have completed multiple courses and projects on this topic, and I have also participated in several extracurricular activities, such as Sigma Kappa Sorority. In addition to my academic pursuits, I have been working as a crisis counselor at Crisis Text Line since February 2022, providing support and guidance to people in distress through text messages. This experience has enhanced my communication, interpersonal, and computer literacy skills, as well as my empathy, resilience, and compassion. I have also received multiple recognitions and feedback for my performance and impact as a crisis counselor.My passion for water diplomacy and genetic genealogy stems from my personal and professional interests, as well as my values and goals. I have been a member of the International Society of Genetic Genealogy since April 2023, where I have learned and shared insights on how genetics can help uncover ancestral origins, histories, and connections. I also aspire to pursue a law degree in the future, with the aim of advocating for environmental and social causes that matter to me and to the world. I have interests in land use law and real estate. I believe that by combining my knowledge, skills, and passions, I can be the change that I wish to see in the world.
