I am the Head of Reporting and Compliance, covering a vast number of responsibilities in financial and management reporting, consolidation, tax and regulatory compliance, and corporate governance. Part of my primary responsibilities are as follows:• Lead in Corporate Financial Reporting to different regulatory bodies in Australia for reportorial requirements of Dreamscape Networks Limited, ultimate parent of the Group and a listed entity in Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) trading as ‘DN8’, directly reporting to the Group Finance Director/Corporate Secretary;• Lead in Tax Reporting and Compliance of the entities of the Group, incorporated in Australia, Philippines, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, United States of America, Cyprus, and Hong Kong; performs review of tax calculations and oversees tax audit;• Lead contact for the audit and review of both the consolidated financial statements and standalone financial statements;• Acts as Leader-in-charge, on behalf of the Group Financial Controller, and oversees and assists other Senior Analysts, Finance Managers, and Finance Team members;• Ensures compliance of the Group financial statements with statutory and regulatory governance, such as International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Australian Accounting Standards (AASB), and Corporations Act 2001 (Australia); • Prepares monthly consolidated financial report, including detailed analysis on key figures;• Performs comprehensive review of each entity’s standalone financial statements on a monthly basis;• Primary responsible for the submission of monthly Business Activity Statements (BAS) returns, monthly payroll tax, and annual income tax returns for all Australian entities;• Provides IFRS updates to the Management and to the team, including the impact of the effectivity of these standards in the consolidated financial statements;

Parts of my primary responsibilities are as follows:Statutory Audit Engagement• Acts as team manager of audit engagements, who covers the whole process of the audit procedures from planning to completion.• Obtains knowledge of client’s business and accounting system to identify risks associated with its industry and accounting practices and be able to address and mitigate these risks through the performance of risk mitigating procedures.• Conducts financial audit to ensure the fairness of the client’s financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.• Develops and communicates to client constructive suggestions to improve the existing internal control system and other areas related to the system.• Prepares the auditor’s report, client’s audited financial statements, other related schedules, and management report covering accounting, audit addressed and areas of improvement.• Communicates regularly with the client, provides services and support in terms of financial reporting and disclosure according to the standards.• Assists trainees and associates.
