My passion is developing learning resources for adult education. I create programs and resources that get people invested in their learning experiences.Specialising in working with groups of adult literacy learners, I have hands-on experience as a teacher and resources developer for vocational education and adult learning. I creatively design and implement learning programs for the vocational education and training sector, local government and not-for-profit community organisations. I am an experienced editor of academic texts, learning resources and non-fiction manuscripts.

In this role I was responsible for analysing and assessing the quality and level of resources for an online adult literacy resource portal called Adult Literacy Connect.- Evaluated feedback survey data for the development of the resource portal; created reader-friendly report of recommendations for ALC working group - Conducted desktop research to describe and classify existing adult literacy resources and identify further resources; uploaded information into the WordPress portal site- Contacted and gained information from experts in the language, literacy, numeracy field - Provided written information that was comprehensive, succinct, accurate and useful that assisted project outcome requirements for the delivery of the online portal - Attended ALC working group meetings, onboarded library cataloguer and liaised with IT project workersPositive feedback from the working group:A HUUUUUUUGE thank you to Libby! Brimbank Learning Futures was a two-year funded project by the Department of Education and Training to improve learning and employment opportunities for hard-to-reach community members.I collaborated with internal and external stakeholders to plan, design and implement innovative learning programs that met the specific needs of organisations and learners. I co-designed programs with community members to create sustainable learning and employment pathways, such as parent & child English sessions and pre-employment skills workshops. I built effective partnerships with a range of individuals and groups including the VET sector, Learn Locals, jobactive and community service providers. I prepared reports and documents for program review, monitoring and evaluation; and Integrated feedback, learner support, and program evaluation into BLF programs.Working closely with the Project Coordinator on the final project report, I provided developmental, substantive, line-editing and proofreading to clearly and succinctly convey the lasting impacts and positive outcomes of the project. The report was submitted to the Department of Education in September 2020 and secured another round of funding to continue the program for a further two years.

Project BrIMPACT was a Regional Employment Trial funded by the Federal Department of Employment, Skills, Small and Family Business. It focused on social procurement and inclusive employment practices to give local young people a greater opportunity to engage in and capitalise on the major investment projects happening in Brimbank across the next decade.During this interim role I worked diligently with project partners YLab Global, ArcBlue and Job Prospects to recruit over one-hundred local candidates to participate in Project BrIMPACT and bring the project to formal launch.

I developed, taught and validated classroom learning resources and assessment tools for the Adult Migrant English Program at Bendigo Kangan Institute. As curriculum coordinator, I was responsible for the delivery of quality teaching practice, and leading a cohort of teachers in submitting compliant documentation. I led the design and development of the AMEP Youth Program for Certificate II students. The program improved attendance & retention, and increased the number of students who achieved their certificate. The Youth Program was scaled up to three more certificate levels within two years. I also secured a grant from the VET Development Centre for a program that delivered a dual Certificate II in English and Horticulture for mature-age English language students from farming backgrounds. The course was piloted with 15 students and praised for its cross-departmental partnership to support students' transition from foundation skills to vocational training.Key skills and knowledge:- Initial assessment interviews using the ACSF- Thorough understanding of and adherence to VET compliance- Created and evaluated assessment tasks for internal use and the AMEP Assessment Task Bank- Bendigo Kangan representative for Northern AMEP Consortium validation and moderation meetings

I was approached by the Melbourne Polytechnic Head of School: Foundation and Preparatory Studies to consult with the Learning Design team and develop new assessment resources. I worked with the Certificate II English as an Additional Language curriculum to create a set of four integrated assessment tasks. Documents created included the Unit of Competency assessment mapping, three assessment tasks, and student/assessor guides. I incorporated validation feedback in a timely manner and executed the project to a high standard within a tight time-frame.

After completing my Bachelor of Business (Small Business & Entrepreneurship), I was offered a position as marketing assistant with a three-year mentorship at AP Marketing Works. In this role I proofread and prepared The Shoestring Marketing Kit manuscript for publication. I provided reliable and professional administrative support to the Managing Director; managing marketing and communications for AP Marketing Works and clients including newsletters, websites and social media. I also collated, analysed and interpreted data for AP Marketing Works and clients, using Google Analytics, feedback surveys, and newsletter readership rates.
