Preferred Fence was a small family business specialized in providing residential and commercial fencing services. As a general manager and bookkeeper I was responsible of the overall operations of the business. My duties and task included: Supervise and manage subcontractors and staff. Quote and contract preparation. Advice clients on selection of materials and design options. Plan site visits. Measurement of property perimeter and fence design. Maintain an up-to-date inventory of materials in the system. Order materials from different suppliers. Maintain current all the need it licenses required by the city, county and state for the business and subcontractors. Plan and assign jobs to staff and subcontractors. Apply to building permit in the appropriated jurisdiction and call for the final inspection after the job is finish. As a bookkeeper my responsibilities were: Account payables, receivables, inventory, billing, and reconciliations, write and sign checks, monthly sales tax reports and all financial transactions.
