Currently in my third year of PhD candidature, my research focuses on the role of mitochondrial morphology and dynamics on prostate cancer proliferation and progression. I have been awarded schloarships from both the Freemasons Centre for Male Health and Wellbeing and the University of Adelaide to support my studies. I am highly proficient at data analysis, critical thinking and experimental design and I possess a wide range of technical skills in mammalian cell culture, fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry and biosafety. Throughout my PhD I have gained sound experience in project and time management, problem solving, and oral and written communication in a variety of contexts and to varying target audiences. I'm consistently driven by my innate sense of curiousity, never-ending search for knowledge and passion for making a positive contribution to society. Outside of the lab, I love exploring the outdoors, often leading hiking and kayaking trips with the Adelaide University Mountain Club and am a passionate, "back of the pack" runner, competing in numerous trail events, and running with the Adelaide University Athletics Club, as the 2022 president.
