• Developed policy for the delivery of the Renewable Electricity (RE) schemes to enable the implementation of scheme legislative amendments, delivery of process efficiencies and IT development.• Led and project managed amendments projects to implement the 2017 amendments to the Renewables Obligation Orders and to develop new guidance for RO and FIT operators on co-located storage. This involved:­- Representing Ofgem on changes to schemes to other government agencies, and to other stakeholders, particularly energy suppliers and industry bodies­- Maintaining project management tools and providing regular status updates to senior management­- Working with Operations, IT and legal colleagues to ensure development is well coordinated and changes to key systems needed for Ofgem’s administration of the schemes are made­- Coordinating and developing new and/or amending current business processes and updating guidance materials for external stakeholders to reflect changes to the schemes

• Developed policy, processes and the underpinning regulatory framework to extend competition into onshore transmission, focusing particularly on the criteria for identifying assets for tendering and the processes for identifying pipeline projects. Responsibilities included:– Contributed to policy consultation documents, including leading the review of consultation responses.– Developed implementation policy and necessary amendments to licence conditions to enable the competitive regime– Led engagement with the System Operator to ensure the Network Options Assessment (NOA) process and methodology incorporated changes to support the competition– Developed policy for approaches to responding to lasts resort scenarios.• Supported work to achieve changes to primary legislation to facilitate competition in onshore transmission, leading particularly on the property transfer and cost recovery vires sought.

• Developed OFTO build policy to address financial barriers, accommodate more flexibility to respond to project needs and ensure successful and timely tenders could run. Responsibilities included: – Managed the production of OFTO build policy updates and guidance materials, worked closely with Legal colleagues to ensure policy effectively addressed risks and is fit for purpose. – Coordinated and attended stakeholder engagement events including regular bilateral meetings and focused workshop events to update stakeholders and inform policy development • Led and project managed the 2015 amendment of the Offshore Tender Regulations to enable new OFTO build policy and tender process improvements.
