Changing careers is not easy, but nothing good ever is. This hard turn has been rewarding and I can't wait to see the next steps. Within the next five years I would like to be settled into a structural engineering position (that is my concentration) although water is pretty fascinating too. I love the idea of helping a whole community. After learning more about the processes of fulfilling a project, I want to then become a project manager. I love seeing projects come together and bringing out the best my team can offer. I am also a people person, getting to know clients and a team is a thrilling prospect. I have experience with Civil 3D, SAP 2000 and AutoCAD. When working on team projects I often took the lead to ensure all parts of a project were done well and on time. I have experience writing technical and professional letters/ reports from my classes and past jobs— whether it was for clients or professors.
