About Elizabeth D'Aversa Arnold
I was raised in Atlanta, GA and earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alabama. During my time in school I served on the leadership committee for my sorority, Delta Zeta, and completed three Co-Op rotations with SABIC at their Burkville, AL site and one internship with Olin at their Plaquemine, LA facility. Out of college I was hired into the SABIC Engineering Early Development (SEED) Program where I tackled four unique roles at two different sites (Mount Vernon, IN and Burkville, AL). In just two years on-program I gained industry knowledge that is applicable anywhere; from extruder barrel maintenance, to physical inventory auditing, to capital project proposals and execution, I got to experience it all! In August 2020 I rolled off of the SEED Program and became the production engineer for the Lexan monomer unit at the Burkville, AL site. As a production engineer I gained experience with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) practices, production planning and raw material need forecasting, and routine maintenance and asset turnaround management. Working in the manufacturing environment has not only developed my technical skills, but has helped me become a more well-rounded employee. I have grown my organizational and communication skills into strengths and have put my critical thinking and innovation abilities to the test. I am a hard worker, love a good challenge, and am excited to learn all that I can in life and in industry.
