As part of NHS England's Genomics programme, I was responsible for:- Costing and funding negotiations for national policy initiatives;- Establishing the financial aspects of services and contracts with providers of genomic testing services - including the launch of the whole genome sequencing (WGS) testing service in the NHS

As a Senior Finance Lead at NHS England my role included:- Leading on the development, implementation and operation of financial models to support the delivery of NHS England’s strategic programmes;- Understanding key economic forecasts and supporting the development of financial models to simulate likely demand for and cost of healthcare services in order to inform future funding negotiations and resource allocations;- Leading on the development and operation of analytical tools for financial analysis; and- Providing economic and financial appraisal of proposed clinical, commercial and operational strategies to support prioritisation and decision making.

As an Investigations Manager at NHS Improvement (formerly Monitor) my role included:- Responsibility for the day-to-day operational management of reviews of NHS Foundation Trusts as part of Monitor's role as the sector regulator for health services in England;- Working with Trust and system leadership to identify the root causes for financial, operational and clinical challenges; and- Supporting the development of formal and informal regulatory action to improve the quality and sustainability of health care.

April 2012 - December 2015: Deloitte - Finance AdvisoryAs a Manager in Deloitte's Finance Advisory practice I specialised in finance function transformation programmes for FTSE100 organisations and central government departments. My role included:- Secondments to FTSE100 and central government departments to support delivery of finance function improvements and strategic programmes; - Assessment of finance functions highlighting weaknesses and recommendations for improvement; - Cost reduction programmes across corporate services; - Operating model design for corporate services, including organisational structures;- Financial modelling to support strategy development and transformation programmes; - Finance system and information model implementation and optimisation for Oracle HFM and SAP Financials; - Financial reporting and management information design; and - End-to-end business process mapping, comparing the current state to good practice and developing recommendations. September 2008 - March 2012: Deloitte – External Audit Field manager for FTSE250 and SEC global audit engagements across different industry groups, including manufacturing, consumer business, energy and resources, and public sector.
