We as humans are nonstop thinking. There are two things that fascinate me most about marketing and advertising. First: the concept of consumer logic and how rational yet irrational it can be. And second: the challenge of communicating in a way that persuades and convinces consumers always requires optimization- so you are optimizing for something that is both rational and irrational. I apply this same thinking in creative marketing that I apply in leadership, because whether you are connecting with clients or within your team, you are connecting with the no doubt fun irrationality of their logic- in order to bring ideas together, influence an outcome and also optimize their company’s future growth. Outside of work, I serve on the Board of The Friends of the Broadway in Mt. Pleasant, a historic theater volunteer driven that provides a venue for community performances and activities. I also produce children’s plays throughout the year. I also belong to the Isabella County Chapter of the Zonta Club which is an international organization of professionals empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy. I also consider myself as a small time farmer at home enjoying our varies gardens, fruit trees and animals.
