General duties of this job included patient outreach, consenting patients to research, organizing study documents, communicating with IRBs regarding study regulations, and conducting study visits involving blood draws and swab collections.I was the lead research coordinator for a phase one clinical trial investigating the use of monoclonal antibody infusions as an alternative treatment for HIV patients. This trial involved weekly study visits and required open communication with the many departments involved. I also took over two longitudinal blood draw studies: one involving HIV-positive patients at MGH's infectious disease clinic, and the other involving healthy blood donors to supply the Ragon's research labs with fresh healthy control blood. Both of these studies were scheduling-intensive, coordinating with the clinic schedule and experiment schedules respectively while maintaining relationships with research subjects.When the coronavirus pandemic began, our team began a biorepository study collecting samples from hospitalized and non-hospitalized COVID patients, which were then made available to researchers within the Massachusetts Consortium for Pathogen Readiness to help combat the pandemic. I led our team's efforts to distribute sample collection kits, monitoring patients' inpatient status and creating the sample kits for each research subject.

This role involves assisting the PI with preparations and student evaluations in a research-driven teaching lab using CRISPR systems in plants. Responsibilities include preparing reagents, troubleshooting and answering questions regarding protocols, and instructing and supervising students using various lab instruments.
