I am an educator with 14 years experience in various educational roles, requiring a variety of skills. In my current role at the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction I am responsible for supporting teachers in designing and implementing high impact, standards aligned instruction. I work closely with teachers to ensure that their lessons are aligned with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study and meet the needs of all students.In addition to my experience in coaching teachers to deliver standards aligned instruction, I also have experience in designing learning experiences for online and face-to-face professional development based on teacher feedback, observation data, student achievement data, and community surveys. In all roles, I regularly create innovative, engaging, and goal oriented lessons and activities for learners of all ages. The learning experiences I have designed have been implemented by myself and other staff members in face-to-face, online, and blended environments.
