My name is Elizabeth Helquist. I attended Broadview University in Layton, Utah and completed my Associate’s Degree in the Veterinary Technician program. I graduated with a 3.0 GPA in December 2012. I completed several essential skills during my schooling, all at 100% competency. I currently work for a privately-owned small animal practice in Utah and have been there since April, 2011.I have worked several customer service positions in Utah and outside of the state before I became a Vet Tech. The positions have included inbound calls and some sales. These positions helped me immensely with client communication, computer skills, interpersonal relations, and much more.Some of my Vet Tech skills include: Restraint, blood and urine collection, laboratory equipment and testing, preparing patients for surgery, properly calculate drug and medication dosages, vaccinations, assess vitals, and various receptionist duties including filing and answering phones.
