About Elizabeth Hewson

I am a creative communications and marketing leader with a passion for restaurants, food and the stories behind them.I have more than 15 years' experience in public relations, marketing, story telling, content creation, digital and social media, with extensive experience creating, executing and leading communication and marketing strategies in the food & lifestyle arena. My passion for food and story telling has led me to write two cookbooks - Moving Out and Eating in, published in 2013 and Saturday Night Pasta published in 2020. In 2014, my hunger for knowledge and adventure took me to Italy for a year to complete a Masters in Communication and Food Culture at the University of Gastronomic Science (Slow Food). My strengths include a valuable understanding of how to create and produce engaging content, ability to identify communication and marketing opportunities, product and menu development, brand building, public relations, and a strong knowledge of the restaurant and food industry.

    The Fink restaurant portfolio is united by a common vision of excellence in hospitality and service. Highlights • Leading the communication and marketing strategy for the launch of Bennelong Restaurant in the Sydney Opera House• Building Lennox Hastie profile and working with him on sharing his story through various communication channels including the launch of his first book, Finding Fire and his episode on Netflix’s Chef’s Table. • Leading creative and communication decisions for the rebrand of Quay which included the “Farewell to the Snow Egg campaign – No Egg” • Developing the Fink brand including a rebrand, establishing a highly engaged database, build and leading internal Fink culture and creating several group wide campaigns• Creating and launching the above-the-line campaign, The Big Night Out – a winter dining campaign for Fink restaurants• Creating and launching Hello Dining, a joyous content campaign that celebrated our people and places• Securing countless editorial opportunities including multiple covers and feature articles in major local and global publications
