Despite my relative youth, I have wide range of social work experiences. For example, I’ve successfully dealt with a large variety of people. I’ve served both young (4) and old (101!) and a broad array of races and ethnicities, including Arabs (Iraq) and Latinos (Columbia). Second, I’ve worked in several key social work areas, including mental health and domestic violence. In the mental health area, I’ve assisted and educated severely mentally challenged people with diagnoses such as dementia, Alzheimer’s, schizophrenia, and bi-polar disorder. In the realm of domestic violence, I worked in a shelter, where I helped men, women and children in the crisis hotline office and by facilitating many support and educational groups. I believe that these experiences would provide spectacular incite when working and presenting to high students, parents and/or faculty. I try my best to be kindhearted and empathic with people, while keeping an objective distance. Furthermore, I am a hard worker who routinely exceeds expectations, and I always follow through despite any obstacles thrown my way. As a result, I have had a 90% success rate with the people who I work with. I may not be able to save the world, but I make every effort to do my part by helping as many people as possible.
