About Elizabeth Leahey

As a museum-based educator, my mission is to engage and inspire individuals of all ages to be curious and confident learners, and to view themselves as capable of embracing opportunities to learn, grow, and create. My goal is that visitors – children and adults alike – leave their experience feeling that they can see themselves as a scientist, an engineer, or an artist. My expertise lies in designing and facilitating informal learning experiences and exhibits, and developing interdisciplinary curriculum. Drawing on my skills as an informal educator, I mentor volunteers and provide professional development for informal STEAM learning. I have a passion for creating beautiful and inspiring spaces, especially for open-ended learning and engaging in the creative process.
