I graduated from the University of Queensland in 2004 with first class honours. I then worked in mixed practice in Wagga Wagga for 2 years before moving to the UK to take up position at the Royal Veterinary College (RVC) as Veterinary Investigation Officer. This role involved production animal disease investigation and veterinary surveillance in collaboration with the Veterinary Laboratories Agency (VLA) and DEFRA. I then moved onto more formal training (residency) in veterinary anatomic pathology at the RVC for two years before returning to Wagga and Charles Sturt University (CSU). During this period I also completed a Masters in Veterinary Medicine which included a research project on Cystic echinococcosis in British Horses. In the five years spent at the RVC, both job roles were involved training veterinary undergraduate students in pathology covering a wide range of species. Whilst at CSU I have become a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (Anatomic pathology) and a member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in veterinary pathology. I contributed to the diagnostic service as well as training of undergraduate students in veterinary pathology.I am currently working for Gribbles Veterinary Pathology in Clayton, Melbourne. This role involves both clinical and anatomical pathological services, with a high and varied case load.
