After seven years working as a high school public school teacher, I decided to take my skills in communication, presentation, and organization into the private sector as I built up my skills in technology. As I began (and continued) working on various technology certifications, I developed a career in the cybersecurity and compliance arenas. I assist companies who are working on or preparing for audits such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST CSF (among many others) in developing the processes crucial to their operational and security success. I help them to gather all the data they will need for their audit and validate their GRC controls to address any deficiencies ahead of time. I lead a team of about half a dozen compliance specialists in providing services to a wide range of clients across all verticals.
