Combining an interdisciplinary skill-set of analytical chemistry, agricultural sciences and passion for herbal therapeutics via the medical cannabis industry. By implementing systems for quality assurance and quality control in the testing of herbal products intended for medical application, the whole of herbal medicine is bolstered in its value and scope of use. Medical cannabis is symbolic of an overdue shift in our health-care system paradigm. I am honored to be a part of this sea change.Elizabeth earned a B.S. in Chemistry and an M.S. in Soil Science to form a well rounded interdisciplinary foundation in application to the medical and recreational cannabis industry. She has dedicated over 7 years so far in cannabis, first setting foot in the wild west days of medical cannabis in Oregon (2014-2015), and later at home on the east coast (2017 - current), thus brings to the table a breadth of knowledge and experience in what is still a relatively nascent industry. Her work has mostly focused on optimizing analytical methods for quantitative analysis of chemical impurities as well as medicinal components, in addition to overseeing the quality system at Green Analytics' regional east coast independent testing laboratories. This work is part of an overall personal mission to promote the use of herbal therapeutics - not just cannabis - within the paradigm of wellness & healthcare systems.

Employed creative problem solving and investigation of inorganic and organic chemistry techniques for chemical synthesis. Conducted a comprehensive literature review, reproduced certain foundational experiments and creatively collaborated and consulted with PI. Goal was to synthesize a a UV-activated synthetic molecule capable of carrying out photolysis for the production of hydrogen as a green energy solution. I conducted a lot of the work independently in the Pochapsky lab, also maintaining the lab-space with other researchers and students. Worked with various analytical instrumentation and collaborated with other professors in the departments of both chemistry and physics at Brandeis University.
