5th Grade ELA Teacher

At the Cherry County Hospital I am in the position of Patient Accounts. I am one of three people at the hospital responsible for accounts receivable. I work closely with our CFO in regards to proper patient and insurance payments as well as our daily deposits. I, individually, am responsible for specifically the Medicaid payment along with Blue Cross Blue Shield payments. I share the responsibility with one of my coworkers in completing the deposit. I also work with the Patient Accounts Manager to complete our Worker’s Compensation claims and dealing with our claims that are in or are going to collections. I also work in our insurance billing office submitting claims to the various insurance carriers that we work with.

Provides account services to customers by receiving deposits and loan payments; cashing checks; issuing savings withdrawals; recording night and mail deposits; selling cashier's checks, traveler's checks, and series e bonds; answering questions in person or on telephone; referring to other bank services.Records transactions by logging cashier's checks, traveler's checks, and other special services; preparing currency transaction reports.Cross-sells bank products by answering inquiries; informing customers of new services and product promotions; ascertaining customers'​ needs; directing customers to a branch representative.Completes special requests by closing accounts; taking orders for checks; opening and closing christmas and vacation clubs; exchanging foreign currencies; providing special statements, copies, and referrals; completing safe-deposit box procedures.Reconciles cash drawer by proving cash transactions; counting and packaging currency and coins; reconciling loan coupons and other transactions; turning in excess cash and mutilated currency to head teller; maintaining supply of cash and currency.Complies with bank operations and security procedures by participating in all dual-control functions; maintaining customer traffic surveys; auditing other tellers' currency; assisting in certification of proof.Maintains customer confidence and protects bank operations by keeping information confidential.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Currently the vault teller and an in charge of managing the cash flow for our vault as well as the purchasing and selling of money to Rochester.Also am the Community Involvement Coordinator for Union Bank's greater Nebraska branches.

My position as an Analyst for billing and collections for Alleviant provided me with the knowledge of how to work with a large physician organization and multiple different insurance carriers. I have extensive knowledge behind several different insurance carriers especially policies and paying trends. My experiences include me working with claim denials and the understanding of how medical claims are processed. I learned to contact insurance company claims representative to discuss and clear outstanding claims and balances, process insurance denials and appeals. It also gave me experience of working with patients and understanding of multiple medical laws such as HIPAA. Post patient payments, payment information, denials, codes and related correspondence; answer patient billing questions. Contact physicians and medical staff to obtain and/or confirm claims information. Set up budget payment plans with patients and monitor repayment activity and run missing ticket reports. Correct posting payments and make charge adjustments to patient accounts.

My position as a clerk at a college book store provided me with expertise in an office/retail setting. My duties included selling college merchandise, books and regalia. I also worked with faculty in ordering the appropriate materials for college classes and worked with merchandisers and suppliers in insure quantities in stock, as well as returns, rentals, and problems that arise with merchandise and customer situations.

As a dental assistant I am trained to work with the dentist to have the knowledge and provide the necessary equipment and procedures for successful dental treatments. My experience includes; lab work, such as impressions and mouth guards, assisting in procedures to include fillings and extractions, root canals etc. I am also responsible to insure the accurate note taking on each dental procedure, hygiene of the room and equipment, and insuring patient safety during treatment. It also includes noting the appointments and filling out the appropriate charges.

My duties as a lifeguard was to insure the safety of patrons in and around the pool area. I was trained in CPR, AED, and first aid as a requirement of the position. I was also trained in cleaning the pool and insuring that the pool had the correct chemical treatment each day and that the pool was operational and functioning correctly.
