Areas of focus include birds, amphibians, and terrestrial mammals. My wildlife biology experience draws on my time working with wildlife species at research institutions, bird observatories, and on private timberlands. I am an active member of The Wildlife Society including being in the 2020-2022 TWS Leadership Institute, and serving on the Western Section and California North Coast Chapter boards since 2015. I am especially passionate about supporting students and early career professionals.

Nsf Graduate Research FellowCal Poly Humboldt Aug 2022 - PresentArcata, California, United StatesI am continuing one of the longest running raptor studies in North America, which has been tracking a breeding population of Swainson's hawks in Butte Valley, California over the past 43 years. My research aims to explain the influence of varying agricultural crops on Swainson's hawk territory selection and reproductive success in the Butte Valley over time. This information will have implications for the viability of this population in the face of climate change and anticipated water shortages. -
