I have been at the high school for several years, and one of my jobs has been librarian. I have enjoyed serving the high school family with the goal of making the library a good place to find resources for projects and assignments, as well as a quiet place for reading and studying. I implemented new and innovative software for both elementary and high school libraries. I have also overseen the after school study hall program and hold study halls for students during the school day. I coordinate and manage the staff travel program. I also aid in transcribing and preparing official transcripts for all high school students. I am involved with our international student program in conjunction with their health insurance, medical files, immunization requirements, transcripts, travel forms, and other vital information.

I answer calls, help parents and students, chart attendance data, schedule tours and tests for prospective students, schedule interviews for prospective teachers/parents, work with Excel for charting different types of data, and have many miscellaneous duties.

Did a long-term sub position for a fourth grade teacher. Also subbed for 5th grade.

I taught 2nd grade and sixth grade math and did classroom music and choir for pre-k through 6th grade. In later years, taught 6th grade math again, was the choir teacher for 3rd-6th grade students, led music for Chapel, and was the school librarian for ten years. This job included maintaining an Excel record of all our Accelerated Reader books, adding and cataloging hundreds of AR books to our collection each year, and helping teachers and kids find books that were level-appropriate for each student.
