Developed the agenda for the workers' compensation portion of the 2013 and 2014 Federal Workplace Training & Expo, including selecting speakers, developing session topics and formats, and reviewing and editing presentations.

Managed the editing of hundreds of Quick Start Guides, which cover federal employment law and procedures (EEO, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Workforce Management, Pay and Benefits, and Workers' Compensation); updated and created federal workers' compensation Quick Start Guides; summarized decisions from the Employees' Compensation Appeals Board; and wrote guidance-driven articles on workers' compensation-related topics.

Reviewed, selected and summarized cases from across the country for inclusion in Workers' Compensation Report, as well as for our publication dedicated solely to Florida workers' comp; reviewed and selected cases to summarize from the Employees' Compensation Appeals Board for cyberFEDS; wrote feature articles on diverse federal workers' compensation issues for our website; trained new editors as needed; and authored the Second Edition of the Federal Workers' Compensation Desk Book

Developed the agenda (program, speakers) for the annual Workers' Compensation in the Federal Workplace Conference, which included selecting speakers, session topics, working with speakers to develop materials, and ensuring that content was appropriate and relevant for attendees. Also presented and moderated sessions at conference, including ECAB case law update, an interactive session on performance of duty-related issues, and moderated the 60 tips in 60 minutes panel each year.

The Sentencing Commission was created in the mid 1980s to evaluate the effects of sentencing guidelines on the criminal justice system, recommend appropriate modifications of substantive criminal law and sentencing procedures to Congress, and establish a research and development program on sentencing issues. The federal sentencing guidelines went into effect in 1987.As the intern to the General Counsel for the Commission, I researched hundreds of criminal cases from across the country to determine the efficacy of state sentencing guidelines, whether they were applied uniformly to defendants, and the circumstances under which judges departed from guidelines when imposing sentences.
