Forecast variance, a measured KPI, can have a multi-million dollar effect onsales volume and resulting inventory levels. Determines optimal combination of qualitative and statistical information to drive the best possible operational forecast. Provides guidance and instruction to assigned direct and indirect reports.Specific Requirements:Compile customer demand information from Sales / Replenishment andpromotional and strategic information from Marketing. Maintain anawareness of consumer, customer, and market trends. Incorporate thisknowledge into forecast revisions and adjustments.Measure current Forecast of Record with forecasting tools and metrics.Monitor for variances and need for adjustment.Communicate forecast data to management and other departments (e.g.Planning, Sales, Distribution, Finance, and Marketing) via standard reportingand ad hoc analysis.Confirm timing of new programs with Planning and discuss constraints to theforecast.Prepare materials for and moderate the monthly working consensus meeting.Present current metrics and indices.
