I held a hybrid programmatic and grants management position at a foundation with a $100m endowment. Highlights: leading selection of and migration to GivingData from our legacy GMS; designing grant outreach campaign resulting in 115% increase in funding over one year; overseeing special COVID-19 Response grant program, dispensing nearly $1.8m in funds to 72 organizations in all six New England states. Promoted from Associate level in 2019.

I helped nonprofits and foundations find the right strategies and tools to achieve their goals.

I led communications and research for a foundation with a $200m endowment focused on early education, workforce development, and facilitating successful transitions to adulthood for vulnerable youth. Highlights : introduced Facebook as a communications channel; significantly increased Twitter followers and newsletter subscribers; managed RFP process for website's migration to WordPress; developed and administered surveys and provided data analysis to shape strategic plan; developed and produced biweekly research digest of focus areas.

I headed up the Research team, and oversaw the day-to-day operations of Idealware, a nonprofit whose mission is to help other nonprofits make smarter decisions about technology. I was the lead researcher and author on several publications, including the Consumers Guide to Grants Management Systems and the Landscape of Salesforce Apps for Nonprofits.

I led Idealware’s nonprofit software research projects, conducting interviews and product demos, writing articles and reports, and helping to design project methodology.

I managed the daily operations of the first oral history archive in the United States, located within the Columbia University Libraries.

The National Archives at New York City is the regional repository for Federal records from agencies in New York, New Jersey, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. As a Federal government archivist, I preserved, arranged, described, and researched the provenance of our holdings.

I processed and provided research assistance for the collections of the University of Illinois, the Ad Council Archives, and the American Library Association Archives, all held at the University of Illinois Archives.

I oversaw the advising and study plans of over 300 undergraduate History majors and concentrators, managed the planning of the History Department curriculum at both the undergraduate and graduate level, and used Columbia's SSOL database to report on students' progress towards completion of their degrees.

I managed an Exceed! database of our donors, wrote grant proposals and progress reports, and planned major events such as our Board luncheon and lecture series.

I assisted the Director of Exhibitions and Public Programs in the research, writing, and design of new exhibitions, publications and lecture series, and managed the loans of the organization's Traveling Exhibitions throughout the country.

Using proprietary banking software, I oversaw the allowances and drawing accounts of 600 students over the course of two semesters, and approved and reconciled faculty expenditures.
