I am a director and treasurer for the Ag Institute Australia. I oversee the finances and risks of the institute, as well as managing the Indigenous agriculture working group, and assisting with membership, marketing, and accreditation functions. I have 2 years’ experience in government, researching and writing internal policy documents, managing biosecurity risks, and implementing new management systems. I have 4 years’ experience organising in-person and online events, including conferences, networking events, masterclasses, and webinars. I also have 7 years’ experience in animal health research including parasitology and toxicology of ruminant livestock, including writing research papers and reports, presenting results to multiple audiences and teaching undergraduate animal health subjects. I have a keen interest in how the agriculture industry can embrace native foods and indigenous knowledge to improve the sustainability and uniqueness of Australian agriculture.
