The Aimhigher programme was aimed at government-defined groups of young people who were under-represented in higher education. As the coordinator for the programme in Dudley, I was responsible for developing, delivering and evaluating a series of projects and events to support Aimhigher's key themes. I was also responsible for administering the local budget and procuring suitable activities. I negotiated with local suppliers of activities, such as Science events, motivational speakers and others to secure value for money block bookings and negotiated free taster sessions.I was also seconded 1 day per week to the Aimhigher sub-regional office to support the delivery of the evaluation and communications strategy for the Black Country
