Elizabeth Rush has spent the last 20 years in public education. Currently, she is now the Communications Director at Grace Church San Diego and is also consulting for ConnectEd National, an organization that implements Linked Learning to transform SecondarySchools. Liz spent 6 years as the Academy Coordinator at Clairemont High in San Diego. As a member of the Administrative Leadership Team, Liz supported the growth of four industry-focused Academies, directed the industry and community partnerships including the intern and mentoring programs, and coordinated the outreach to incoming students and families. Liz is passionate about redesigning high schools to connect career readiness, essential skills, college preparation, and community involvement. Prior to her role as Academy Coordinator, Liz worked for 14 years as a High School English and Communications Teacher while coordinating a Business-focused California Partnership Academy.Liz is a native San Diegan who attended University of California San Diego, where she received her Bachelor of Art in World Literature, as well as her Teaching Credential and Master’s Degree in Education.When she is not synergizing with educators, you can find Liz hanging out with her husband and two children, and volunteering at her church in the kids ministries.
