As a Peer Educator, I was responsible for leading a freshman orientation class (Honors 100) for the Interdisciplinary Honors Program. I developed lesson plans, facilitated discussions, and delivered interactive presentations on a variety of topics while fostering a comfortable and fun classroom environment.

As a peer tutor, I worked with writers of all academic disciplines and backgrounds to develop ideas, clarify and organize structure, and build lifelong metacognitive writing skills. I helped students in all stages of the writing process and on any type of writing including research papers, dissertations, creative pieces, and persuasive essays.

PI: Ludo Max, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Speech and Hearing Sciences, University of WashingtonIn the Max Lab, I analyzed spectrogram data using Matlab programs to measure formant frequencies in an experiment studying the effects of altered audio feedback on vocal output. I also assisted in experimental set-up including applying EEG electrode caps, conducting hearing tests, and setting up experimental conditions.
