I am dedicated NSF Graduate Research Fellow and UCSB Doctoral Scholars Fellow in Chemical Engineering at the University of California, Santa Barbara, with an anticipated completion date of Winter Quarter 2026. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University, graduating cum laude. My undergraduate experience culminated in being awarded the highest possible distinction for undergraduate research at NU and a recognition of my service to the department and engineering community through the Chemical Engineering Department Service and Leadership Award. During my PhD, I have developed a robust skill set in molecular biology, cell culture, single-cell sequencing, epigenetics, and bioinformatics. My research focuses on developing novel methods to detect DNA methylation and accessibility and understanding the progenitor of human primordial germ cells using lineage tracing techniques. My contributions have been published in high-impact journals such as Nature Structural & Molecular Biology, Protein Science, and Nature Chemical Biology.In addition to my academic and research accomplishments, I have industry experience as a Research Analyst Intern at AbbVie. During my internship, I conducted experiments to characterize factors affecting drug stability and developed models in MATLAB to predict the shelf life of antibody-drug conjugates, significantly reducing the time between design cycles. Leadership, mentorship, and outreach are integral to my professional identity. As a Writing Consultant for the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program, I have successfully guided many applicants to receive awards or honorable mentions. I am organizing the annual Graduate Student Symposium, facilitating networking events with industry professionals. I have led hands-on science experiments for elementary and middle school students in underserved communities, spoken to high school students about careers in STEM, and have mentored undergraduates considering graduate school and guided them through the application process. I am also proud to be a dual citizen of the United States and Luxembourg. Outside of my professional pursuits, I compete at an elite level for endurance running and triathlon events, which has instilled discipline, resilience, and perseverance.
