Many work at home parents struggle with time management and with balancing each aspect of their home and business. The Book "Balanced Mama" began from the desperate need of parents who were thrust into a homeschool situation because of Covid-19. I was being asked continually "how" to homeschool, and "how" to run a business successfully while caring for my family. Writing a book in a short timeframe was incredible. Research and development of the book came together quickly. By having the freedom of my home businesses, I was able to spend each free moment writing about Family, Homeschool, Business growth, and outsourcing opportunities. Once the book was written, I delegated the artwork and website development to my husband who did an amazing job to make it look amazing. Designer And FounderMamma Can Do It Oct 2009 - PresentGaylord, MichiganI am the owner and founder of my small business, Mamma Can Do It. I successfully design and publish sewing patterns. I am the creator and innovator of all parts of this business and it's marketing efforts. With this business, I design sewing patterns for baby, children, women, and men. This is typically done on Adobe illustrator. I design clothing as well as accessory patterns that are Digitally delivered sewing patterns. The web site that we have developed allows the users to download the PDF sewing patterns directly from their account. I have discovered that digital patterns are easy to implement marketing strategies and on page SEO. In this business I have Lead, trained, and managed two designers to produce quality clothing designs.Using an effective business plan, I was able to also manage a team of over 100 affiliates to promote designs on multiple web platforms. This provided significant business growth and revenue almost immediately.This business has allowed me to become efficient in adobe photoshop, indesign, and Illustrator. It also has given substantial experience in photography. When the sewing pattern drawings were complete, I created a tutorial for each step. These step by step tutorials have helped me develop a process in which I also teach my clients how to easily implement online strategies. By using step by step processes with my website development clients, it helps them grasp the vision and make it attainable. During the development of Mamma Can Do It, I grew and manage a Facebook community of 8,000 followers for this sewing business. These are active followers who regularly are repeat customers.I have also learned and created new techniques for a small business email strategy that has worked exceedingly well and increases sales 400% the first month. This business has been an excellent learning tool in regards to website development, online marketing, and time management. I have also learned exceptional techniques for SEO growth.
