CurrentElizabeth Sopher invented the QuickZip® sheet after having her first child and trying to change the crib for the first time. She figured there must be an easier way! At the time she was working as a geochemist and environmental consultant, cleaning up groundwater and soil on hazardous waste sites and providing technical communications to affected communities. Elizabeth honed her skills in problem solving, project management, numeric analysis, regulatory compliance, and safety during her environmental career, and now brings those applicable skills to her work with QuickZip® Sheets. Her experience on the QuickZip® sheet includes product development and testing, manufacturing, managing customs and freight forwarding, quality control, laboratory testing and evaluation, regulatory compliance and documentation, inventory management, marketing, sales, website development, social media, vendor and customer relations, human resources, budgeting, accounting, demand planning, finance, evaluation of licensing opportunities, design, specification development, packaging and point of purchase design, trade shows, and raising capital. The QuickZip Sheet Company was selected to be in the first cohort of the MergeLane business acceleratory in 2015. Their sheets have won numerous awards including a grant from the Huggie’s Mom Inspired program; placement on Good Morning America’s Deals and Steals, Fox and Friends and NBC’s Today Show as well as local TV spots; endorsement as a Celeb Mon Essential in People.com by Trista Sutter, the Bachelorette; referrals in Baby Bargains Book, Consumer Reports Best Baby Products, and Parenting Magazine’s Baby Must-Haves; and a number of other national awards.
