Teaching three virtual field trip programs focused on pork production and corn production in Indiana and a program about genetically modified crops. These programs are all delivered with added lesson plans for free to teachers. Currently working on writing and revising programs to better help educate students across the country about agriculture and farming.

This is an opportunity I honestly got into completely on accident however, it ended up being one of the best experiences of my life. Being the only female coach in the league, I was able to support and recruit, female players leading to our school having the most starting female players in the district.Through this position, I learned a great deal about meeting kids where they are, and finding different styles of encouragement and support for each individual. Our team had a holistic approach, focusing on both physical health and athletic skill, as well as being a strong leader during the school day, meeting academic expectations, and holding each other accountable. While the on field progress and success was a joy to watch and be a part of the biggest takeaway for me, was seeing the students change their actions and behavior during the school day, and leading a positive change in class.Record 13-2

I was responsible for executing the CIS School Support Plan and meeting the needs of the student population, aligning with the priorities of school leadership. I worked alongside principals, teachers, and other student support personnel to forge community partnerships that bring resources into the school to help remove barriers to learning.

Vision Academy is a k-8 title one charter school in Indianapolis on the west side in the Riverside neighborhood. At Vision Academy I taught two sections of 7th grade science and two sections of 8th grade science using the Amplify curriculum and self developed projects. During my time at Vision I secured several grants to get my school a Community Food Box, Classroom pets, bikes, and a future community garden. I had the chance to participate in the city connects program which aims to connect students to community resources and is proven to lower student drop out rates at title one schools. As an Internal Leadership Team member I helped mentor and coach fellow teachers.

Teach for America provided me with countless experiences, training, and resources. As a corp member, I was engaged in DEI sessions, teacher training, and professional engagement and coaching.

In a customer service position, I worked in the pro shop interacting with customers and assisting them when needed, while helping with inventory, running the register, and sharpening skates. Other duties included helping in the concession stand and managing the front desk. During some public skates, I worked at skate rental, as well as a skate guard, where I monitored the public skate and assisted with any injuries. I also score kept for adult and high school hockey games. As a scorekeeper, I learned the importance of being focused on the task at hand and how to handle a sudden injury. I was given more responsibilities throughout my time at this job and I have learned how to help manage others and handle multiple tasks at once through organization, time management, and delegation.

As a staff member, I had the opportunity to continue sharing my passion for Indiana state history and the environment. I got to share information with both guests and youth volunteers. I worked with a team to create and lead agricultural education programing on historic breeds and farming. Led staff and volunteer training and created guest experiences to enhance familiarity with agricultural practices. During this time I also used the Anji Play model, especially its emphasis on learning through play with found objects in outside environments, to deliver memorable lessons for children.

After spending a semester abroad in Sāmoa, I returned to campus and realized I wanted to help other students have similar experiences. This led to my current position at the Global Engagement Office. Here I help students work through all of their study abroad options to find the one that best fits their personal and academic needs. I also work closely with the directors in planning, setting up, and running events. I also had the opportunity to lead information sessions about study abroad travel tips. This has been a great chance for me to learn more about event planning and working with a diverse group of people.

As a representative for the College of Wooster, through the admissions office, I have the opportunity to market my school to prospective students. I worked closely with a prospective student and their family in a casual environment, by taking them to lunch and hosting overnight. This was a great way for me to stay connected with my college.

As a teaching assistant, I had the chance to retake a class that significantly impacted me during college. I had the opportunity to work closely with students during office hours and in class. I also had the opportunity to improve my proofreading skills through editing student papers and improve my speaking and educational planning skills through teaching classes and facilitating class discussions.

As an intern, I worked directly with the owners to help them with daily management and operations. I learned how the company functioned through balancing a brand that is both for-profit and non-profit. During my time at this job, I participated in planting, caring for, harvesting, and selling/ marketing produce. I worked with farm equipment, livestock, and learned the different business aspects of farming.

As an instructor, I worked with kids as well as adults, teaching them beginner and basic horseback riding skills. This position involved having customer service skills to build personal connections with my riders. This job required me to do physical work, including barn chores like cleaning stalls and tending to the basic needs of the horses.

At this internship, I worked closely with the farmers as they completed their daily tasks. I helped in the afternoon with milking cows, moving fences, gardening, and interacting with guests. This internship pushed me out of my comfort zone and taught me many important skills when working in a new environment. During this internship, I learned how to operate heavy machinery.
