– Develop, implement, supervise, evaluate, and regularly lead educational programming including: - contemporary art exhibitions- and curriculum-based school programs in English and French for elementary, secondary, Autism Spectrum Disorder and developmentally disabled students taking place on- and off-site, including drawing, painting, printmaking, mixed media, sculpture, site-specific installations, textiles, zines, stop-motion animation and video;- on-site art classes and camps for children and youth ages 6-14;- off-site, cost-free community art in urban gardens programs for culturally-diverse and at-risk children (including those with ADHD, ODD, ASD) living in subsidized housing in partnership with ArtHouse, the Region of Halton and the Halton Food Council;- public programs and art courses and workshops for adult learners.– Create new programming initiatives by researching contemporary art education programs at other museums, developing partnerships with community organizations, and successfully applying for funding, which has led to the creation of “Art-ish” a hands-on art making programs led by a professional art teacher and art therapist for youth with mental illness in Halton Healthcare’s inpatient and outpatient Mental Health Program, and "Points of Entry" for seniors with dementia.– Responsible for interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling and supervising part-time education staff including a team of fifteen Animateurs, freelance professional artist educators, volunteers and co-op students. – Manage departmental budgets for art classes and camps, school programs, community art programs, community outreach programs, project grant funded programs, and corporate sponsorships in consultation with the Director.– Source, order, coordinate, and inventory all program materials and equipment. – Research, review, update, retire and write new program content for all department advertising materials for multiple deadlines throughout the year.
